You must do a private coaching session with Lesly or a member of our faculty, or take a private or group Intro Work Session prior to signing up for a Comedy Intensive. If you have yet to do one of those, please do so, so that we can recommend the right class for you.
The Comedy Intensive curriculum includes scene work on multi-camera, single-camera, and film material, along with readings, games, exercises, watching of a lot of television and film, and many other activities involving the business of the business, audition technique, your marketing, and so much more. In addition to attending class, you get to rehearse extensively with and without your classmates every day that you’re not in class, including weekends. It’s a lot. And it’s worth it. Because your acting career will never be the same.
This course is comprised of three acting classes over a two-week period. The schedule is generally as follows:
- Three consecutive Wednesdays that begin at 5:00 pm and go until 11:00 pm Pacific Time (or later!).
- Some of our Zoom Comedy Intensives start at 3:00 pm PT to accommodate our East Coast actors.
- In-Person intensives meet at the Kahnstitute at 1720 N. La Brea Avenue, LA CA 90046.
Your payment of 50% guarantees your spot; the remaining balance is due by no later than one week before the first day of class. Payments not received by the deadline will be assessed a processing fee of $25.00 in addition to the amount due.
