Group Intro Work Session

Unless you’re a beginning actor, we need to meet with you so that we can determine how best to proceed with you. Beginning actors are welcome to sign up for our Essentials without a prior meeting.

More experienced actors can meet us by either

  1. coaching with Lesly or another member of our faculty (on a booking or upcoming audition — please go here if you want to schedule a coaching session), or
  2. taking an Intro Work Session (“IWS”).

Our IWS is your chance to act in front of us, get detailed feedback, observe us at work with other actors, and receive answers to all your questions. By the end of class, you’ll know if we are the right place for you to study.

“But, Les!” You say, “I am a working actor! Just put me in your Professional Class!”

I’m glad that you’re working, but I want you to work even more! To make that happen, I want you to learn all kinds of new things. We are not another Method Acting School teaching a derivative of Strasberg or Meisner, and the IWS is not a beginning acting class (although beginners are welcome).

The IWS is a what-the-hell-is-Lesly-Kahn-doing-that’s-so-different-from-what-everyone-else-is-doing class. We teach a holistic, state-of-the-art approach to both your acting and your career. We’re not just giving you some tips and tricks. We’re trying to turn you into masters of your craft.

And you’ll learn so much! Many actors book jobs right out of the IWS!

IWS’s take place on Zoom and In-Person at the Kahnsitute in Hollywood.

If you are under the age of 18, you’ll want to book a private session with a member of our faculty. Please do not book a group session.

Group Intro Work Session 

If you want a “sneak peek” into Lesly’s unique approach to acting and text analysis, the IWS is the perfect solution. In this one-session class, not only will you receive all kinds of new theories, methods, and insight, but you’ll put your new skills to the test in with Lesly and/or senior faculty.

Actors, directors, writers, dancers, agents, managers, producers, musicians, athletes, doctors, lawyers, construction workers, trainers, influencers – everyone is welcome.

Class length depends on the number of actors in a given session. Please plan for the maximum length of class (five hours but more often between three and four).

We’ll send you the material for class about a week before your session. You’ll want to prepare as you would for an actual audition. None of us will be able to determine if we can assist you if you are cold-reading.

After class, we will email you with our recommendation.

If you prefer to work in an individual setting, you are welcome to schedule a Private Intro Work Session or a Coaching Session.

If you are under the age of 18, you must book a private session with a member of our faculty. Do not book a group session.
