Ongoing Classes

While the Intensive is largely about what we want to teach you, and the Clinic is half what we want to teach you and half what is specifically going on with you and your acting, the Ongoing classes are pretty much alllllllll about you.

Utilizing currently casting film and television (and the occasional piece of theatrical) material, Ongoing classes cover every aspect of the actor’s career. From audition technique and cold reading, through working on set, to marketing and creating your own content, we seek to ensure that no stone is left unturned. Our goal is to turn you into the kind of actor who is thrilled (not trepidatious) to receive an audition, is excited (not terrified) to see what’s inside, confident (not filled with terror) that you can act the crap out of whatever it is, and able to perform brilliantly, no matter what it is and how little time you have to prep.

Ongoing classes meet once per week for three, four or five weeks, depending on the month. We frequently do two or three auditions per month during class; at least one is on tape. Ongoing classes are taught by Lesly and other members of our amazing faculty, and bigger classes frequently are taught by two teachers or a teacher and a teaching assistant. Actors are required to work in every class and are expected to rehearse, as needed.
