Who are you as a storyteller? What do you have to offer that other people can’t? What is your essence, brand and type?
Being a creative in the biz can be difficult if you can not answer those questions for casting directors. CD’s see sooo many submissions that they look for anything remotely unique. So, if you cannot pull yourself out of the crowd, your chances of getting booked become slim to none. After all, it may be their script but it is YOUR story.
This class is set up to provide you with all of the keys to being successful during your auditions.
In this course you will learn all about:
- The nuts and bolts of the industry,
- How CD’s go through breakdowns, respond to your materials, and choose an actor,
- How to communicate with CD’s,
- Effectively marketing yourself as an actor through sales tools (Ex: Building relationships with people who want to “buy” you),
- Actors Access, Breakdown Services and CastingAbout, and
- Motivation Techniques (Ex: “do it right” mindset & “good student disease”)
Class will take place on April 12th via Zoom from 1:00 to 3:00 PM PT with time for a Q&A at the end.
